長期在留と家族帯同の可能性
技能実習からキャリアをスタートし、その後に特定技能1号への資格変更を経て、さらに特定技能2号へと移行する道が用意されています。この2号資格は、1号とは異なり、在留期間に上限がなく、条件を満たせば何度でも更新が可能です。そのため、より長期的な就労や生活設計が可能となる点が大きな特徴です。
また、特定技能1号では認められていなかった家族の帯同も、2号では条件付きながら可能になります。これにより、単身での滞在ではなく、家族とともに日本で暮らすことができる環境が整えられてきており、定住を視野に入れた生き方が現実的な選択肢となっています。
After starting a career under the Technical Intern Training Program and then transitioning to Specified Skilled Worker Type 1, it is possible to take one more step forward to Type 2 status. Unlike Type 1, Type 2 has no upper limit on the period of stay; renewals are unlimited as long as certain conditions are met. This offers a path to long-term employment and life planning in Japan.
Additionally, while Type 1 status does not allow family accompaniment, Type 2 permits it under certain conditions. This change creates a more supportive environment where foreign workers can live with their families and consider settling in Japan as a realistic life choice.
対象分野と制度の整理
対象となる分野は、ビルクリーニング、素形材産業、産業機械、電気電子情報関連製造、建設、造船・船用工業、自動車整備、航空、宿泊、農業、漁業、飲食料品製造、外食など、多岐にわたります。なお、「介護」分野については、従来から存在していた在留資格「介護」が引き続き制度として活用されています。
The sectors covered by Specified Skilled Worker Type 2 include a wide range of industries such as building cleaning, metal and industrial components, industrial machinery, electrical and electronic information-related manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding and marine industries, automotive repair, aviation, hospitality, agriculture, fisheries, food manufacturing, and food services. The caregiving sector, on the other hand, continues to operate under its own separate residency status.

特定技能1号での5年間の滞在を経たあと、帰国するか、それとも特定技能2号に進んで日本にとどまり続けるかは、それぞれの人生設計に関わる大きな分岐点です。自らが望む将来像に合わせて、次の一歩を選ぶことが求められます。
