和歌山のパンダが中国へ旅立ち——“浜家”の別れに全国が涙

和歌山・白浜のアドベンチャーワールドで育った4頭のジャイアントパンダが、中国への帰国のため園を旅立ちました。これまで多くの来園者に笑顔と癒しを届けてきた“浜家”の別れに、全国から惜しむ声が寄せられています。
Four giant pandas raised at Adventure World in Shirahama, Wakayama, have left for China. Known as the beloved “Hama family,” their departure has moved many visitors across Japan who shared years of memories with them.

24歳の母・良浜と3頭の子どもたち

今回中国へ渡ったのは、母親の「良浜（らうひん）」と、娘の「結浜（ゆいひん）」「彩浜（さいひん）」「楓浜（ふうひん）」の計4頭。いずれも白浜で生まれ、長年にわたり地域のシンボルとして親しまれてきました。
The four pandas departing include 24-year-old mother Rauhin and her daughters Yuihin, Saihin, and Fuhin. All were born in Shirahama and have long been cherished as symbols of the community.

涙と感謝に包まれた出発セレモニー

園内では、出発前にスタッフや関係者によるセレモニーが行われ、約300人が見送りに集まりました。飼育員の一人は「たくさんの笑顔をありがとう」と声を震わせながら語り、来場者も別れを惜しむ様子でした。
A farewell ceremony was held before departure, with around 300 staff and guests present. One keeper tearfully said, “Thank you for all the smiles,” reflecting the deep emotional bond shared with the pandas.

なぜ中国へ？貸与契約に基づく「帰国」

これらのパンダは中国からの貸与であり、一定の年齢になると中国へ返還する取り決めがあります。今回の出発はその協定に基づくもので、今後は中国・四川省の保護施設で繁殖研究などに貢献していく予定です。
These pandas were loaned from China, with a prearranged agreement to return them once they reach a certain age. They will now contribute to breeding and conservation efforts at a research facility in Sichuan Province.

“浜家”が地域にもたらしたもの

良浜一家は、観光資源としてだけでなく、地元の子どもたちの夢や日常にも深く根づいていました。白浜の観光ポスターや保育行事にも登場し、その存在は町の一部として親しまれてきたのです。
The Hama family was more than just a tourist attraction—they became part of the town’s identity, appearing in posters and local events, especially inspiring children who grew up with them.

アドベンチャーワールドはパンダだけじゃない

白浜アドベンチャーワールドには、パンダ以外にもサファリゾーン、イルカショー、動物ふれあい体験など家族連れに人気のスポットが数多くあります。そのため、たとえパンダが不在となっても、施設全体としての魅力は今後も十分に保たれるでしょう。
Adventure World is not just about pandas—it also features a safari zone, dolphin shows, and hands-on animal experiences that are popular with families. Even without pandas, the park remains a vibrant and attractive destination.

白浜という街の魅力は健在

白浜は、古くから新婚旅行の行き先として人気があり、美しい海岸線や温泉街としても知られています。現在では外国人観光客も非常に多く、国際的なリゾート地としての地位を確立しています。アドベンチャーワールドだけでなく、白浜という街全体の魅力が観光を支えているのです。
Shirahama has long been a popular honeymoon destination, known for its stunning coastline and hot springs. Today, it attracts many foreign tourists and continues to thrive as an international resort town. It’s not just the park—the entire city contributes to its enduring appeal.

今後の展望と希望のバトン

現地では専門機関によって健康管理が徹底され、パンダたちは安全な環境で新たな役割を果たします。アドベンチャーワールドも「また新しい命が戻ってきてほしい」と未来への期待を語っています。
In China, the pandas will be closely monitored and cared for by experts. Adventure World has expressed hope that new panda cubs might one day return to Shirahama.

日本で見られるパンダはあと2頭に

今回の返還により、国内でパンダが見られるのは東京・上野動物園の2頭のみとなりました。これを機に、動物との共生や保護活動の意義について考える人も増えてきています。
With this departure, only two pandas remain in Japan—both at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. Their absence has sparked renewed reflection on animal conservation and cultural ties.

「ありがとう、いってらっしゃい」——心からの送り出し

日本中のファンがかけた言葉は「さようなら」ではなく「いってらっしゃい」。パンダたちが歩んできた年月とこれからの未来に、多くのエールが贈られています。
Fans across Japan chose to say “safe journey” instead of “goodbye,” sending the pandas off with love, gratitude, and hope for their new chapter ahead.
